This initiative represents a concrete example of how collaboration between businesses, supported by the chamber system, can generate added value for both economies,” stated the President of the Italian-Cypriot Chamber of CommerceGiuseppe Marino. “Italian students had the opportunity to enrich their educational path in an international context, while the Cypriot tourism sector benefited from a significant presence during typically low-season periods.”

Donatella De Nuptiis, Manager of T.T. Travel Training, emphasized: “The success of this partnership confirms our commitment to offering high-quality educational experiences. T.T. Travel Training has established itself as a reliable partner both for Italian schools and institutions seeking international opportunities, including for English language enhancement, as well as for Cypriot hotel operators who can count on scheduled, quality tourist flows. Our goal is to build educational bridges that promote the professional and cultural development of Italian students.

Antonis Orthodoxou, CEO of the Orthodoxou Group, added: “We are pleased with the results achieved in the collaboration with T.T. Travel Training. The Orthodoxou Group, as part of this partnership, has made available its experience in the Cypriot tourism sector to guarantee quality stays, customized to the needs of Italian educational institutions. Our reliability and professionalism have allowed us to become a stable reference point, creating a collaboration model that generates mutual and sustainable benefits over time.”

Future Prospects

The project continues to grow with further important developments for 2025. On May 5, the first Erasmus group and a delegation of directors from the Marche Regional School Office are expected to arrive for Erasmus Job Shadowing. Additionally, the first Cypriot hospitality institute of the technical institute Tesek’C of Nicosia will participate in an Erasmus program in Sardinia from May 27 to June 15, 2025, marking the beginning of reciprocity in educational exchanges.

Many of the students participated within the framework of European PON and ERASMUS projects, contributing not only to their professional training but also to the indirect promotion of Cyprus upon their return to Italy through word of mouth and sharing of their experiences.

The Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce will continue to support initiatives of this kind, aimed at strengthening economic, cultural, and educational ties between Italy and Cyprus.
